 Toodyay Ballet School has been operating in the wheatbelt since 1995 and in 2024 will be celebrating 30 years!

    We offer classes in classical ballet (Cecchetti Method), jazz, stretching, commercial jazz, pointe, hip hop, acrobatics and contemporary/lyrical, catering for children as young as 18 months and as old as 70! TBS is a happy place where you can learn to do back bends, cartwheels, backflips, fast jazz dance, beautiful ballet and get to wear gorgeous costumes, tutus and tiaras! Everyone gets to be a star up on stage in the end of year productions that see proud parents crying and laughing at what their amazing children have learnt for the year.

Trained in Melbourne by Miss Shirley Jones, Lani McGeady has continued to educate herself in the Cecchetti Syllabus as well as all genres of dance, recently completing her anatomy and history component and receiving her Licentiate Diploma.

Miss Lani's passion is to see dance available for rural children in all areas and to offer as many opportunities to our country children as possible, opportunities that their city cousins enjoy. Each year Miss Lani gives out between 6-12 invitations for formal training in the form of scholarships and partial scholarships to children who show potential for classical ballet. Bonnie has just returned home after being away for 7 months on her first contract as a dancer for Royal Caribbean. Performing on the Explorer of the Seas Bonnie travelled to Alaska, Canada, San Francisco, Hawaii and the South Pacific. On this ship she performed three production shows including Invitation to Dance an exciting ballroom show, Wild Cool and Swinging and Fast Forward the 80s jazz inspired show. In 2017 Bonnie Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and also received the 2017 Palisade Award. This award is given to the outstanding graduate based on WAM scores, ability and artistry, technical facility and potential. Prior to her years at WAAPA, Bonnie trained under her mother Lani McGeady at Toodyay Ballet School since
