Natalie is a dance instructor specialising in classical ballet, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the art form and giving back to the dance community.

Adult Ballet Level 2

Designed to explore different cultures, Character dance is a specific subdivision of classical dance. It is the stylized representation of a traditional folk or nation dance, mostly from European countries, and uses movements and music that have been adapted for the theatre. Character dance is integral to most classical ballet repertoire and can be seen in all of the great full-length ballets. Danced usually in heeled shoes, these classes will start at the barre similar to a ballet class and finish in the centre where traditional dancers will be learnt. We recommend one-year prior experience or taking our beginners ballet programme first.

Highland

Elena is originally from Russia where she started to do character dancing and performed with various groups since 1992. In 2006 when she joined folk dancing theater “Lege-Artis” in Moscow and after 5 years of performances with the theater in Russia and Europe she moved to Australia, where she joined various Character dancing and Irish dancing groups. Being in love with character dancing, Elena has been teaching this discipline in Australian Academy of Dance, Independent Dance Studios, Lehenda Ukrainian Dance Company, “Morava” Serbian Dance Ensemble etc since 2013.

Adult Ballet - Back to Basics Beginner

Adult Ballet Level 1

These classes will be live and interactive 1hour in duration Ballet classes from your own home. They will consist of a ballet barre and a few centre exercises similar to what you would experience in any of our Ballet classes at MIoD locations.

What do you need?
- A quiet room where you will not get interrupted for the hour lesson     
- At least 2mx2m of clear space, with no obstructions and a flat secure surface.
- A sturdy chair or ballet barre
- A Computer, Phone or Tablet with video and sound capability with good internet connectivity
