Your child will follow a magical story each term unleashing their creativity, while they learn foundation ballet steps. 


Ballet

Emily is originally from England, she trained at The School Of Ballet Theatre UK and graduated into their associate touring company where she danced many soloist roles, her favourite being Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz. During the Covid-19 lockdown her professional direction changed and she created an online dance program for a local school. This is when she fell in love with teaching ballet to children of all ages. Emily studied the art of dance teaching in Berlin and will soon also be a registered teacher with the Royal Academy Of Dance.
Emily loves teaching dance so much that in 2023 she moved across the world to pursue her next teaching adventure in Sydney! Emily realises how important early learning in ballet classes is and how it shapes each child into a unique thinker and dancer. 

Laura has been teaching dance for over a decade. She began dancing at a young age, studying classical ballet, jazz and tap. She always had a passion to teach. After completing her final Advanced exam with the Royal Academy of Dance she continued her studies in Ballet Teaching. She has taught a diverse range of ages and styles at many reputable studios across Sydney. Laura just adores teaching a first plié and aims to inspire and encourage all her dancers. Her nurturing and dedicated approach brings out the best in her students.
 Laura has been a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance since 2009. Continuing her love for movement and wellbeing Laura is also a qualified Yoga, Barre and Pilates instructor. She has trained in Kid’s yoga and yoga therapy.

Duckling Dance 2- 3 yrs with parent/carer.

Our ‘Just Dance’ inspiration series has been designed for Primary School students in Year 3 and over. These classes are for students wanting to dance for the love of it. Students will improve technique while creating lasting friendships. Each term students learn a new routine.

Tap dancing is an energetic style focusing on movements of the feet to create sounds from tap shoes. Tap dance helps to build strength in the body and precise movements of the feet. It really is lots of fun! ​


Junior Tap 7+ Yrs

As your child grows and progresses, we guide them through the renowned Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus – a worldwide organisation on the highest quality dance education. Your child will start to develop a good understanding of the foundations of ballet and also begin to develop their unique artistry. Students may be invited to enrol for an exam with the RAD.

Tiny Tappers 3-5 yrs

Jazz is an upbeat dance style that is accompanied by pop music. It will keep your child moving and grooving. Your child will learn basic jazz technique and steps including jazz runs, kicks, turns and leaps. This class is a great compliment to ballet or on its own.


Green Jays Jazz 3 - 5 yrs

Cygnet Ballet 4-5 yrs

Lyrical dance is a modern style that combines ballet and jazz technique. The term Lyrical comes from the word “lyric,” which means to have a poetic, expressive quality. Lyrical is performed to music with lyrics to inspire expression of emotions through movement. Lyrical can be a wonderful extension from ballet and also a beautiful introduction to dance as it instills a sense of enjoyment by simply moving to the music.

Our Primary Ballet combines elements of the RAD syllabus with our own story-based themes. We give children the chance to develop their own creative flair while building confidence. We introduce many of the foundation ballet steps. Our Primary Ballet is a bridge between petit ballet and RAD ballet syllabus classes.

Le Petit Ballet is a wonderful place for your child to experience the joys of dance. Our studio is a vibrant space where each student feels connected and celebrated. We offer small classes for children from two years old including ballet, jazz, Lyrical and tap.

Our studio aims to support our students on their dance journey. Whether it is to provide a place to connect and be creative or offer the pathways if your child is interested in pursuing the arts.
