Our Tiny Tots classes for 3 to 5 years are fun, fun, fun – focusing on the imagination to teach the basic dance moves.  Feel the joy; hear the laughter; see the smiles.  Fun and music build confidence and a lifelong love of dance.  With wonderful ideas and beautiful music your child will feel like a little Princess every week.
Our teachers want to develop the imagination with the creative use of movements. The classes develop into Advanced ballet for Senior students.

Jazz is an upbeat, energetic dance style, which inspired by popular pop music, well-known musicals and movies. Jazz includes jumps, turns and kicks, enhancing flexibility and fitness.

Technical jazz

Primary Jazz (6-8 years)

Dancers aged 8-10 years.

Contemporary is a modern dance style which encourages dancers to move their bodies through expressive movements and story lines. Contemporary has a great technical base and builds a strong awareness of the body and how it moves in space.

Modern

Junior Contemporary (7-10 years)

Students develop an artistic and spatial awareness with good listening skills and critical thinking.  As they get older students develop a sense of self discipline.  

Students wishing to sit exams should be studying dance for at least 2 ½ hours per week.

Helene Gowers commenced her dance education at the age of five under the tutelage of Madame Kira Bousloff, ex-Ballet Russe and the founder of the West Australian Ballet Company.

During her childhood, Helene was a member of the WA Junior Ballet Company, studying various dance styles including Jazz, Contemporary, and Spanish. Her instructors included Kiril Vasilkovsky, Louis Moreno, and Shelley Rae. The Junior Company performed for charitable events and holiday programs, offering students substantial performance experience in both city and suburban locations. Throughout this period, Helene danced two seasons with the West Australian Ballet Company and subsequently advanced to roles such as Ballet Mistress and Artistic Director of the Dance The

Helene Gowers started dancing at the age of five under the tuition of Madame Kira Bousloff, founder of the West Australian Ballet.

Helene has become a prominent teacher of classical ballet in Western Australia. In 1995-96 Helene was guest Cecchetti teacher for the West End Academy of Dance.  Miss Gowers has travelled to Europe to study and observe the teaching methods of some of the world’s best teachers including the Cecchetti Centre in London and The Royal Ballet School.

Over the years Miss Gowers has trained 12 of the state’s Cecchetti Associate Teacher members and now coaches all levels of the Cecchetti syllabus, travelling all over the state to promote the Cecchetti Method.  Helene has choreographed dances included in the Australian Cecchetti Advanced 1

Jasmin brings a lifelong love of ballet, storytelling, and teaching to the studio. She began dancing at the age of five and went on to complete her Gold Bar examinations in both Ballet and Jazz. Alongside her performing arts background, Jasmin holds a Bachelor of Business in Communication with a Major in Advertising and has worked professionally in the creative industries as an advertising account manager and stage manager.

She is currently completing her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management through Empowerdance, supported by a scholarship from the West Australian Classical Ballet Teachers Association (WACBTA).

Ashley began ballet at the age of three - what started as a childhood hobby has grown into a lifelong passion for movement, music, and mentoring young dancers. She began assisting in classes over a decade ago and now finds immense joy in nurturing students through creative, engaging teaching. Her goal is to develop not only strong technique but also a genuine love for ballet.

Ashley is completing her Certificate 4 in Dance Teaching and Management and was awarded a scholarship by the West Australian Classical Ballet Teachers Association in recognition of her commitment to the field.

Outside the studio, Ashley holds a Master's degree in Business Psychology and works full-time in Human Resources.

Our aim is to encourage the pleasure of classical dance throughout the community. By careful instruction we aim to ensure your child’s physical and emotional well-being, developing confidence, self-esteem and a healthy strong body in a friendly, nurturing environment. Our syllabus (Cecchetti) is recognised world-wide as training for dance professionals and we aim for the highest standards for our young dancers.
