Laura has over 25 years of dance, teaching and choreographing experience throughout Australia, Asia & Europe. Graduating with Teaching, Studio management & Elite dance qualifications from Dance Factory (AUS) in 2020, she is a teacher of Rambert Grades (UK) and DFTA (AUS) syllabus, a member of both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and UNESCO International Dance Council (FR) Laura offers her students the Certificate of International Dance Studies at EDH and is interested in dance as a theraputic tool. Laura holds WWCC and current first aid. 

Modern Dance/Hip Hop | 16+ Yrs

A friendly open class for family groups to come and dance together, we are going to dance to songs with included movement (think the Ketchup song, Casper slide, Bye bye bye, Thriller etc) we'll also do some fun combinations (easy to follow!) and maybe even some creative choreography with your own moves if the mood takes us there, and some lifts with the grown-ups, facilitated safely by Laura. Baby Boogie dance party for new parents, jam out to hits old and new with your baby safely tucked in their baby carrier or next to you on their mat, aimed for babies 3-12 month old.

Please bring your own baby carrier with good neck support, and a mat or small bouncer (just incase!)
Baby Boogie is going to include some time out of the carriers too while we build back some strength and flexibility.

Please have clearance from your GP or medical specialist to return to exercise before starting class.

Creative Dance | 12-15 Yrs 

Tap your cares away! We will explore rhythmic tap and Broadway styles. Class is aimed at beginner- intermediate.
No need to purchase tap shoes right away if you are just trialing as you can still learn the steps and use the parts of the feet needed.

Tap Dance | 16+ Yrs

Creative Dance builds strong technical dance skills that improves physical ability, artistic expression, musicality, and confidence. Creative Dance encourages independent thinking, self expression, and personal interpretation. With a structured yet flexible approach, students are free to explore and develop their creativity. This supportive environment helps them build confidence, take risks, push boundaries, and express themselves in an authentic way. This syllabus lays a strong foundation for movement exploration – dance, sport and healthy living. It helps students develop key skills like body awareness, coordination, strength & flexibility, which are essential for both dance and other physical activities. Creative dance fosters transferable skills from the studio, to study & beyond

Celebrating movement at the earliest stage, our Creative Movers classes take children on a joyful and imaginative journey through contemporary dance.

We begin each class with an energetic warm-up, followed by physical and spatial skill development, with a deep dive into their imaginations to close. 

Through the classes, children are supported to develop physical skills, improve communication, harness musicality, foster creativity and grow in confidence.

Kinder

Creative Movers | 2-4 Yrs 

Creative Dance builds strong technical dance skills that improves physical ability, artistic expression, musicality, and confidence on and off stage.
Creative Dance encourages independent thinking, self expression, and personal interpretation. With a structured yet flexible approach, students are free to explore and develop their creativity. 
Students study classical, contemporary, modern dance, hip hop and tap techniques with the drive being dance literacy and community engagement over competition dance.
EDH’s Creative Dance syllabus work is through Rambert Grades (UK) Students may also train towards the International Certificate of Dance Studies offered through UNESCO International Dance Council

Technical Training

Creative Dance | 9-11 Yrs

Ballet class includes Barre, Centre (port de bras) travelling combinations and allegro, Lyrical we are going to take contemporary ideas and create meaningful choreography

Ballet & Lyrical | 16+ Yrs

Adult Ballet | 16+ Yrs 

A space where new parents can get back to/or begin ballet barre and pilates technique. These classes are for all bodies and levels of dance, no prior training or experience is required. Low impact only (no jumping)
Classes will be aimed at some strength work and lower abdominal work, safe for diastis recti seperation, but please see your GP or obstetrician if you have any concerns.
This class is for you, and I’m more than happy for new mums to take any modifications they may need :)
All you’ll need is a baby carrier and a mat or bouncer for your baby (as we want to be flexible for your babies needs too) 
Music will be lowered to a safe volume for little ears.

We are a non competition school, focusing instead on creating well rounded individuals and valuing community engagement. Younger students will explore contemporary, ballet, hip hop, rhythmic tap, jazz & modern dance, utilising the Rambert Grades (UK) and DFTA (AUS) syllabus. Adult students can train in Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern Dance, Tap & Lyrical. All students are invited to work towards obtaining their Certificate of International Dance Studies and advancing through Rambert Grades from 2026. We also have classes for new parents, babies & families
