READY SET DANCE no tap is a 45min combo class for 2 - 5 year olds that includes jazz, hip hop, singing, music and a whole lot of FUN for girls and boys.

Our studio is proud to be an official READY SET DANCE location. The program focuses on developing the 3 C’s for preschoolers. CONFIDENCE, COORDINATION & CREATIVITY. Through exercises such as balancing bean bags, working as a team with the parachute, singing on the microphone, and playing musical instruments, the classes ex- tended beyond dance to develop skills such a teamwork body awareness, core strength, rhythm, flexibility and confidence. 

Students from this level upwards have the opportunity of performing in our end of year concert. Class meets once a week.

Alexa has been training at the Edge Dance Centre ever since 2010 in genres such as ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. She competed in solo competitions from the age of 10 and also participated in group eisteddfods from the age of 8.
Through the guidance of Miss Nicky and her teachers, Alexa has had the opportunity to participate in USA ballet intensives, dance at an RAD gala alongside commercial experiences such as performing in the Royal Easter Show.
The nurturing environment at EDC has allowed Alexa to not only progress as a dancer but as a teacher. Alexa has been assistant teaching since 2017 and started as an assistant READY SET DANCE Teacher in 2018. She has also completed training in the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus and has done numerous training courses for READY SET DANCE.

Nicky commenced her dance training at the Rogerson Ballet Academy in Sydney, completing all RAD exams up to Advanced 2. She went on to finish her studies at the Western Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under the direction of Lucette Aldous, Alan Alder, Mark Annear, Lenny Westerdyk and Reyes de Lara.

She has had an extensive professional career working as a dancer, singer and actor both in Australia and Asia. She has performed with Darc Swan Dance Company, Come Alive Productions, Disney, Di Heaton Dancers, Wonderland Sydney and Dance Encore Productions including the Musical ”Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (role of Snow White).

Nicky has over 25 years teaching experience and has taught at many dance studios both in Australia and America. 

Olivia Ferguson is a bright, energetic performer based in Sydney, Australia. She started dance at the age of 9 after competing in national competitions in women’s artistic gymnastics and has since continued to pursue her passion for dance and performance to a professional level. 

Olivia started her training at Action Dance Academy, where she has been teaching acrobatics, jazz, ballet, contemporary and lyrical since 2015, and is a graduate of Lee Academy Performing Arts currently holding her Cert IV in Dance and her Diploma of Dance (elite performance) Acro and Aerial Live Performance. She was a 2 time golden buzzer winner and grand finalist of Australia’s Got Talent 2019, as part of the group aKrobatiKa.

Sarah is a Qualifier Irish Dance Teacher (TCRG) along with being Secretary of the Australian Irish Dance Association NSW Branch.
She began Irish dancing at age 11 and was a world qualifier who has competed at State & National level in Australia.
Sarah now brings her passion and love of Irish dancing to all of her students. Since passing her teachers exam in 2012, Sarah has had her students compete at the highest level of Irish dancing, not only here in Australia with dancers placing in the top ten at the Australian International Oireachtas and the Australian National Championships every year, but also had dancers compete all over the world including the past 6 World Championships. Sarah has also enjoyed Ceili dancing success, winning multiple State Championship titles.
