Ready Set Ballet is a 45 minute magical ballet experience for 2- 5 year olds. Twirl our mascot will lead our little dancers through each step of the class as they learn the fundamentals of ballet.

Classes are suited for children aged 2 – 5 years old on the 1st January of enrolment year.

Dance Central is conveniently located at 3 Taylor Street, Toowoomba close to the CBD. The immediate area has plenty of on street parking. It is a priority for us at Dance Central to provide safe and pleasant working spaces for our students, as such we have 3 studios all fitted with sprung vinyl dance floor, mirrors and barres. Our studios are large and airy satisfying any COVID19 requirements for social distancing.

A student only dressing area is provided for all students, with showers and toilet facilities available.

Our parent waiting area has tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable couches for those parents who wish to wait for their child.  A

Bec developed her love of dance from the young age of 4 when she started classes at a local studio. She was one of Dance Central’s first students in 2002 and developed her passion for teaching after assisting in junior classes. She completed her level 10 jazz exam in 2009 and went on to gain her Southern Federation of Dance Jazz Teaching Certificate in 2010. She has been teaching at the studio since 2009 in the genres of jazz and hip hop. Bec has been our company mistress since 2013 and a member of our performance company Velocity since its beginning back in 2002.

Contemporary

Jen Murray is a dance artist, teacher, choreographer and producer originally from Calgary, Canada. After attending the National Ballet School in Toronto at the age of 13, Jen returned to Calgary and apprenticed with the Alberta Ballet Company while still in high school. She then shifted her focus to contemporary dance and attended the 3 year professional training program at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre as a scholarship student. Upon graduation Jen moved to Vancouver where she worked with a wide array of contemporary dance companies, touring across Canada and into the United States. Jen also undertook a yoga teacher training program, and has been a certiﬁed yoga teacher for 12 years. 

Born in Townsville North Queensland, Benita commenced dancing at 4 years of age and trained in classical ballet, highland dancing, character, tap and jazz. Benita sat for all of the RAD examinations, participated in most of the North Queensland Eisteddfoddau and at the age of 15 became the Queensland Intermediate Highland Champion.



Classical Ballet teacher

Kerri developed her love of dance under the enthusiastic instruction of Mrs Young. A love of fitness and movement led to Kerri’s extensive experience as a Fitness and Pilates Instructor. Her continued love of dance motivated Kerri to join Dance Central in 2004. After a few years of immersion in the RAD curriculum, Kerri undertook training towards a RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies completed in 2010.
